Jane received her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University. Jane has been in the field of mental health for eight years and has a variety of experience in both community mental health and private practice. Jane also has experience teaching at the University of San Francisco on topics of Cultural Competence and Gender and Sexuality issues. Jane practices therapy from a person-centered humanistic perspective focusing on creating a warm, accepting, and compassionate relationship, while also bringing in tools and techniques from other modalities such as cognitive behavior therapy, systemic family therapy, attachment theory, and dialectical behavior therapy to best fit the needs of each individual client. Jane enjoys getting creative in the therapy room with art and narrative techniques to help clients express and build their stories.
