Sonia Beers is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. After finishing graduate school at The University of San Francisco, Sonia worked in agencies throughout the Bay Area, and pursued specialized training in Narrative therapy through the Vancouver School of Narrative Therapy.
Sonia is passionate about her work, and has extensive experience working with adolescent clients and families. Sonia has worked with transgender youth and adults for over 7 years. Additionally, Sonia is enthusiastic about working with folks who have either been identified with a learning disability, or suspect they may have one.
Sonia's approach is down to earth and authentic. She believes that the trusting relationship she develops with her clients is the foundation for progress. Sonia believes clients are the experts in their own lives, and that they possess strengths they may not realize. She collaborates with her clients to help them find new ways of living--with more joy and wellbeing.
